After ten days of stopping, it starts again tomorrow with the special slalom in Madonna di Campiglio the 2024-2025 Men’s Alpine Skiing World Cup. The legendary 3-Tre track is preparing to host the fifth slalom of the season on the major circuit, with Italy trying to finally find an edge even among the narrow posts after the few satisfactions of the first races.

There will be 6 Azzurri competing tomorrow (first heat at 5.45pm, second at 8.45pm) on the Canalone Miramonti, with the aim of starting the new calendar year with the best possible result. We’ll see it in action on the Trentino snow Alex Vinatzer, Stefano Gross, Tobias Kastlunger, Tommaso Saccardi, Corrado Barbera and Simon Maurberger.

Points objective for the various Gross, Saccardi, Maurberger and Barbera, while Vinatzer and Kastlunger have already appeared in the top 10 this winter and can go in search of an exploit in front of the Italian public. The last Italian podium in the Madonna di Campiglio slalom dates back to 2020 and was conquered by Vinatzer, capable of placing himself in third position at just 20 years old.

After four races, Henrik Kristoffersen leads the specialty World Cup with a margin of 25 points over the Swiss Loic Meillard, 30 over the Frenchman Clement Noel and 48 over his Norwegian compatriot Atle Lie McGrath.
