Rome – He immediately won a gold medal for Italy at the World Alpine Skiing Championship for deaf athletes in Jasna, Slovakia. In the Super G specialty, the very young Italian athlete Luca Loranzi, already a protagonist at the previous Winter Deaflympics in Erzurum, took the first step of the podium with a time of 1:17.20, trailing the Polish Lukaszyk (silver) by more than a second and the Austrian Lebelhuber (bronze). A race conducted very well thanks to the expert hands of coach Ravetto who also prepared Luca for today’s difficult weather conditions. Eighth place instead for the other Italian athlete in the race, Gabriele Calcaterra.
