I Am the End of the World conquers the Italian box office, another success for director Gennaro Nunziante and the politically incorrect Angelo Duro.
The strategy of silence has borne fruit. The absence of information and promotion for I am the end of the worlda very incorrect comedy starring Angelo Duro and directed by Gennaro Nunziante, piqued the curiosity of the public by sending the film at the top of the Italian box office with over 2.3 million euros grossed in 328 theaters and 295,631 admissions. Success for the comedian here in the role of a young man forced by his sister to take care of his elderly parents that he has hated all his life.
Nor does the interest in it cease Diamondsnew female-led film by Ferzan Ozpetek which brings together a group of famous actresses in a challenging tribute to cinema and femininity. The film, in the charts for four weeks, rises to second position and grosses over 1.7 million, reaching a hefty total of 12.7 million. At the center of the story is a cinema tailor shop run by two sisters (Jasmine Trinca and Luisa Ranieri) and everything that revolves around it, as our review of Diamanti reveals.
How did the Christmas movies go?
Sonic 3 – The Movie doesn’t let go. Figure that confirms the success of the Disney prequel among the Italian public, who rewarded the exciting story of the exploits of Simba’s ancestor, an orphaned, lost and alone puppy who comes across a sympathetic lion named Taka, heir to a royal lineage, rewarding sensitivity and visual talent by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins.
The real one placed fifth surprise of the Christmas box office, Nosferatu by Robert Eggers. The independent film added 981,000 euros to its rich haul which brings it close to 4 million euros and 136 global, becoming the highest grossing horror film of 2024. Costing 50 million, the film starring Bill Skarsgard, Lily Rose-Depp, Nicholas Hoult and Willem Dafoe confirms the never-ending interest in vampire theme.
